A couple of things to mention today. Doug and I adopted a kitty. He was a stray that found us and we just couldn't bear the thought of him spending the winter outside. So today, we get to pick Boomer up at the Vet. We are so excited. It is just about all we thought of this weekend. Hopefully, Doug will be off early enough that he can come with me. :-)

In other news, it looks like I will be traveling to the New England area this weekend. Carmen has a job interview in Vermont, and since Josh can't go with her, she asked me to come instead. Her mother-in-law is also going with us. We'll be flying into Boston on Friday, possibly driving to New Hampshire and then on Saturday we will drive to Vermont for Carmen's interview and spend the day there. Then on Sunday we will have almost a whole day to spend in Boston, because our flight doesn't leave until 8:00 that night. I probably won't be home until 1:00 in the morning that night, but oh well. I am really excited to do this too.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. Soon it'll be Christmas and I have barely started shopping. Yikes!

I did survive the haunted houses and the scary movie we saw before hand. I wasn't impressed with the scary movie and I was terrified to go to the haunted houses, but after we made it through the first one, I was okay, so I decided I could brave the second one and I'm glad I did. It wasn't even scary and it went really fast! Mostly it was just dark and the next thing I knew, we were at the huge twisty slide. I don't know that I will go back next year, but at least I can say that I have done it now.

Yesterday was nice. Doug and I spent the whole day together. He woke me up in the morning made me breakfast, we watched bits and pieces of scary movies, along with an edge of your seat Chiefs game. That evening after Doug made dinner (our deal is he cooks, and I do dishes) we watched Hellraiser, which according to Doug was the scariest movie ever when he was a kid, so I was really expecting to be scared and I was kind of disappointed. It wasn't scary at all. I'm thinking monster movies don't scare me. It's the psychological stuff or things that could actually happen that really scare me the most. All in all, it was a pretty good Halloween.
